5Love this phone.  Feb 16, 2012 By Kelbi
I got this phone for $0.01 and no shipping and handling. I kept wondering "what's the catch?" but when I received the phone it was still in its original packaging and great condition. I love it. I haven't found anything wrong with it. I can hear the ringtone and talk on it perfectly. This was a great deal.

5One tough smartphone.  Jan 28, 2012 By Shelley b.
This is a great HTC product. I got rid of my Samsung Infuse for this phone, and immediately my husband wanted one too. It's got a metal shell instead of plastic, and fits it my hand perfectly. The camera takes beautiful pictures, it's easy to use, and is as tough as I think a phone can be.

After having his phone for almost a year, it fell out of my husband's pocket at a truck stop. He had it in a leather case that clips on your belt, and had one of those plastic cling screen protectors on it. You can see where this is going. . . an 80,000 pound tractor-trailer ran over the phone. Someone found it and was able to call me on it to find out who it belonged to!!! They got it back to him, still in working order. The surface glass of the screen was fully intact, but the color layer looked like a spider web of cracks. This, however has not affected the functionality of the phone at all, minus a few dead pixels here and there and just looking a little "off" from the tiny web of cracks. The semi did bend the shell of the phone a little where the clip on the case was. This broke the shutter on the camera. However, I'm EXTREMELY impressed with the fact that this phone fell out of his pocket, got run over by an 18-wheeler, and lived to find it's way home to still be in use today. That's right, it's still working.

As far as the reviewer who said they couldn't hear the phone. My husband also has hereditary hearing loss, and he can hear this phone just fine. There's this thing called "settings" you can use to adjust the volume, ringtone, etc. to meet your needs. We can always hear our phones ring, and most of the time I have to turn my earpiece volume down during voice calls because it can be obscenely loud on full volume. So no problems there. All in all, while this is my first smartphone and I've never had the coveted iPhone, I think this is a really great phone. I would get another one in a heartbeat if needed. But I don't see that happening, since it survived a semi. As with ALL smartphones, though, DO NOT get it wet or damp. It's not going to survive that.

5First "smartphone" I've had  May 18, 2012 By Norma Laino
I cannot praise this phone enough. Once I installed the app killer the battery life went WAY up. You can customize it in so many ways, from different sound for different notifications to different volumes for each! The ringtones available on the phone and for download are varied and good-sounding. Call sound quality is excellent, speakerphone is pretty clear. Many apps available for download. Camera takes great pictures, but trying to take self-portraits is clumsy and difficult because of the placement of the shutter button. The only thing I did not like was having to pay extra for a special data plan, because it's a smartphone. I wish someone would make a comparable non-smartphone!
